The Love of Sisters

I love my little sisters to bits! Even when they are annoying sometimes! We all love to get together and watch movies and TV shows like "Doctor Who" and "Naked And Afraid" (we're obsessed) and play games and go to plays/musicals... We do a lot together as sisters and as a family.
I also have a little brother whom I love and adore like crazy... But in this post I want to focus on the importance of women - women in families, in the church, in communities, and in the world. Women have a huge calling. They are called to be mothers to God's children here on this earth. In his October 2015 General Conference talk "A Plea To My Sisters," Elder Jeffrey R. Holland said:
We, your brethren, need your strength, your conversion, your conviction, your ability to lead, your wisdom, and your voices. The kingdom of God is not and cannot be complete without women who make sacred covenants and then keep them, women who can speak with the power and authority of God!
Women have a huge capacity for good. By influencing our children, we influence the future. We also help our husbands become better people (and they also help us become better, too). However, sometimes the world and its trials can get the better of us. Sometimes we feel weighed down by everything in life. It's okay to feel this way. But let it out. Talk to your husband about your fears and troubles. Talk to a therapist. Talk to God. But then once you're finished crying, get up, get dressed, and get back to work. The world, your children, your family, your husband, and other women need you.
Yes, other women need you. We need to be each other's support network! We need to encourage each other. We need to visit each other and let each other know we'll be there if we're needed. Lift each other up and be positive, because optimism spreads! Share a smile, do a little or big act of service... Show the women around you that you care.
I think that Elder Holland said it best...
My dear sisters, nothing is more crucial to your eternal life than your own conversion. It is converted, covenant-keeping women—women like my dear wife Wendy—whose righteous lives will increasingly stand out in a deteriorating world and who will thus be seen as different and distinct in the happiest of ways.
So today I plead with my sisters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to step forward! Take your rightful and needful place in your home, in your community, and in the kingdom of God—more than you ever have before. I plead with you to fulfill President Kimball’s prophecy. And I promise you in the name of Jesus Christ that as you do so, the Holy Ghost will magnify your influence in an unprecedented way.

I love you, ladies!! Remember your divine worth as a daughter of your Father in Heaven!
