Your Father in Heaven loves you. Never forget that.
Recently I have gone through some things in my life that have really tried me. I have been frustrated and, I'll admit it, scared sometimes about what lies ahead. Even sometimes about what is now behind me. But I know that "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13).
I also strongly believe that you should look for people whom you can also rely on. For me, my parents are a strong influence and good example in my life, and I know I can turn to them for help or advice whenever I need it.
In the LDS General Conference talk, "Tested and Tempted - But Helped," given in October 2015 by Elder Hugo Montoya, Elder Montoya emphasizes four ways we can lighten our burdens and temptations:
1. Go the second mile. Attend the temple, but try to find ancestors who need their temple work done.
2. Smile! Smiling, even when you don't feel like it, can help lift your spirits. A simple smile to the people you see throughout the day may help someone who feels overwhelmed and overburdened feel peace and love.
3. Express feelings of compassion to others. Be there for people who are in need of comfort. A kind word can go a long way.
4. Invite others to come to church. I know I personally want everyone around me to be able to experience the power of the gospel, and the peaceful, redemptive, enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I would challenge you to meditate on the Atonement - "the great and wonderful love by the Father and the Son in the coming of the Redeemer into the world. The Saviour descended below all things; he experienced all things. Put your faith and trust in the Lord your Redeemer that he will be there for your in your times of trouble and sorrow and joy. The Atonement should be a cause for joy.
Remember...
You are loved.
You are strong.
You can do this.
I believe in you.
Heavenly Father believes in you.
The Saviour believes in you.
You can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth you.
